Partial payment at checkout

Let customers pay part of an order up front and the rest on delivery, through Shopify’s own checkout, on any payment gateway.

• One order, not two. The buyer goes through your ordinary checkout and gets a single order, marked partially paid with the balance outstanding. No draft orders, no duplicates.
• Their own products at checkout. Nothing is substituted and nothing is added to your catalogue — customers see what they chose, at the reduced amount.
• Works with cash on delivery. Any gateway Shopify checkout supports, with no vaulting and no Shopify Plus. Shopify collects the address and the payment natively.
• Set the terms yourself. A percentage or a fixed amount, shop-wide or on chosen products, with an optional discount for customers who pay in full instead.
